Murray, NEB- In the bustling halls of Conestoga High School, a dedicated group of parents, alumni, and community members came together to form the Conestoga Cougars Booster Club. Their mission was clear: to enhance the high school experience for students by providing support for extracurricular activities, sports teams, and various school initiatives. This passionate group of individuals understood the vital role that extracurriculars play in shaping well-rounded individuals and sought to create helpful and busy communities.
The booster club mission is simple, to assist in the growth and success of all groups, organizations and sports teams at Conestoga Jr/Sr High. With member support, and the support of their business partner sponsors, they are able to give approximately $15,000+ annually back to activities within the school. They support the PB&J and Milk program in the school, which allows all students in a strength and conditioning class to have a healthy protein-rich snack after class. They funded mats for the cheerleaders to practice their stunting in a safe environment. Assisted the school in funding HUDL, a software program that allows coaches, players and parents to review game film.
Booster clubs play a critical role in enriching the educational experience and fostering community spirit. Through their dedication, hard work, and unwavering support, these organizations empower students, strengthen communities, and contribute to the holistic development of young individuals. As champions of extracurricular excellence, booster clubs embody the spirit of collaboration, service, and commitment to the betterment of society. “We look forward to new requests and ideas from teachers, coaches and sponsors”.
