Murray, NEB- The Conestoga boys and girls wrestling team traveled to Falls City for a dual.

The girls had four matches while the boys had eight matches.

“Four of us wrestled and we all did really well!” states wrestler Lillian A. “We went 54-0 which is amazing for us. There are small things for all of us to work on, but there’s been so much improvement out of all of our girls.”

Lilly A, Alex P, Morgan H, and Maggie F, all had wins by pins. Cydney V, Kyler Z, Gabriel L, Ava F, and Isabella R, all had wins by forfeits from the other team, leaving the girls team to win by 50-4.

“The boys wrestled well,” states wrestler Jordyn S, ”there were some really tough matches, but they fought all the way through. We had some wins and some losses, and there are things we need to work on, but we are doing pretty well for what small of a team we have.”

Collin D, had a win by pin and James K, had a win by points, taking down an undefeated Class C ranked wrestler 10-6. Jace T also took a win by forfeit. The boys team lost by 15-63.

“I think everyone wrestled their best,” says Bre S, “everyone put in a lot of hard work and effort in their matches. Win or lose, everyone still did their best and it showed on and off the mat all night.”
