Murray, NEB- The Junior High Girls’ Basketball team and Junior High Wrestling team are almost to an end. It does not stop them from leaving their mark on the court and on the mat by their dedication, hardwork and athleticism.
The Girls’ Basketball team faced initial challenges at the start of the season due to weather complications, but Head Coach Kyle Steckler praised their work ethic by saying, “They have kept positive attitudes and work hard at practice.” These girls’ commitment is evident with their high attendance through practices, Steckler also remarks, “Attendance has been phenomenal.” This dedication shows the passion they have for the sport, while also preparing them for their future. As the season progresses, the team continues to show resilience.
The Wrestling team also shows commitment and power when it comes to putting in work over the summer to see results in season. Head Coach Rob Everett praised the team by saying, “This team has never backed down from a single thing I have thrown at them and that is a rare trait.” This shows how much hard work they put into this sport. Their season success is not just from their wins, but it’s from their resilience and not taking a step back when faced with a challenge.
From the basketball court to the mat, both teams have shown determination and hardwork. As a reflection to all of the accomplishments they have made this year, they will be ending their season by leaving their mark at the school and community.
