Murray, NEB- Outside the rather small town of Murray, Neb is Conestoga High School, it seems to be out in a very inconvenient place (the middle of a bunch of corn fields) and that is because it makes it easier for people living in several surrounding towns. Conestoga Public Schools serves the areas of Murray, Beaver Lake, Union, Lake Waconda, and Nehawka.
In the last years voters have voted against a bond for money for Conestoga Public Schools. The first bond proposition was $39 million dollars for a multipurpose room, another gym, and senior high renovations. It was defeated in a vote of 737 to 784. Then the next proposition was for $6.2 million, which would be used to renovate the existing elementary school with an early childhood education center. This one also failed; the vote was 686 against 807.

Conestoga changed to a four day school week in 2006 because of budget issues. The school was established in 1978.
