Conestoga football has an exciting schedule ahead of them. This Friday they go against Malcolm and next week is Lincoln Lutheran.

“Definitely some winnable games but will have to prepare. To face teams like bishop newmen who have star players” said lineman Ayden S.

“Looking forward to going to districts and to see how we measure up and to see how far we have come and how far we will come,” assistant coach Steve Vecchio “It will be good to see how we match up against some of those teams like Malcolm and Palmyra at the end of a very winnable game.”

The team spends the week before each game preparing for each specific opponent. Coaches put in a lot of time preparing the perfect plan to get the team ready. Coach Vecchio says “ We spend a lot of time making sure we are familiar with what they are going to run and be able to recognize what they are doing and their tendencies. I spend a lot of time making cards for the scout team to get a good look of what they are going to run and offensively I know coach Quick is trying to get our best players in a good position.”

Players also have to prepare for different teams and this is what Ayden S has to say about preparation “We prepare for different offenses and some games we are going to prepare for certain players for example Bishop Newmen’s Conor Booth.”
