The Wildcat softball team had a game at Ash Grove Field in Louisville NEB. Thursday, Sept. 19. They played Fort Calhoun and the JV lost, Varsity lost 12-0.
JV had some errors on the field and they also had some really good plays as well. Varsity had some good outs. They never really got in the groove of the game. They came in not positive and once they didn’t do very good in the first inning the other innings were not as good either.
“Something that can get worked on with both JV and Varsity is hitting being able to consistently hit. I think they played well but hitting is what suffered. If we were able to string along some hits it would’ve been a better game for us.” said ReAnn Schreiner.
They are playing really well, they have had better games than others and the losses that they have had weren’t too bad. They started their season out not so strong and they don’t have enough confidence going into the games but once the coaches talked to them they are starting to get more confident and now that they know they can win the games they are more comfortable and confident going into the games.
“I think we have improved a lot and we are a young team. We’ve already exceeded our wins from last year and we are looking to get more in the next few weeks! “ said Elizabeth H
