Murray, NEB- On Friday, Sept. 31, the Conestoga Cougars went against the Elmwood-Murdock Knights. The student dress up theme was “western” and they came with their best cowboy hats and jeans. Before the game the  high school football team was led by the youth football players running across the field to start off the Friday spirit.

The Cougarettes dance team did a hip hop routine during half time which caused the fans to go wild and cheer their hearts out. After the Cougarettes danced the Conestoga marching band performed their field show inspired by the movie “Grease”.

“I feel like they played really good because Elmwood ranks third in state,” Ava T., a Sophomore, stated.

The Cougars defense put up a good fight but it just wasn’t enough to pull out the win. The game ended with Conestoga scoring 33 and Elmwood-Murdock scoring 60.
