MURRAY, Neb. – Veterans Day is this coming Friday, on Nov. 11. Conestoga will be hosting its annual Veterans Day program. This program takes place during school hours in the high school gym. All elementary students will take a bus up to the high school to attend the program alongside high school students. Veterans, families and other outside guests are also welcome to attend. In the morning, all students and guests will come together to honor their veterans.

This year will be a bit different compared to those in the past. Conestoga’s Veterans Day program will include a variety of speakers and pieces being read. The program has found a way to include students in another way rather than being a speaker. Students were given a prompt to write a short essay and one of these essays will be chosen to be read at the program this coming Friday.
