This is life hints with Earl. He is a trucker of 30 years.
Me: "So you have told me of your job and you switched to it, would you like to tell me the story of your original job and why you switched?”
He responded with, “Sure, I’ve been trucking for over 30 years. I got started via hazmat clean up due to my degree in biology minor in chemistry. I learned the operation side of things because it was like playing chess. I’ve never chased money, it’s always chased me because when I do something I want to be best at it. That simple [thought], that’s how job changes occur. People come look for you. I’m one of the best in business.”
Me: “Thanks for that, do you have any other life hints for young people these days?”
Earl joyfully said, “always put yourself around good people, leave [idiots] by the wayside. Birds of a feather flock together. Famous last word: if not you, then who?”
This was a very riveting interview.
