Conestoga has many good lunches, but the school’s chicken-fried steak is the best main dish.
The school’s chicken-fried steak is very tasty with its breading and beef in the middle, and the great choice of gravy on the steak; it is one of the few actual meats that the school gives us. Some people may say that it is a little dry, like MIles M, but I feel it is amazing.
The best school lunch meal in general is the mac and cheese, pretzel, and chicken strip combo. The pretzel really complements the mac and cheese. You can scoop mac cheese with the pretzel, and the pretzel can sometimes be dry. The mac and cheese, with its cheesiness, tastes very good and complements the pretzel and chicken strips.
Conestoga’s salad and Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich options are great for picky students that don’t like all their food. Also, I like how Conestoga High School offers cups, to fill with water, in case people just don’t like milk or are lactose intolerant. I like the way the school dismisses tables for lunch in rows and rotates the order every day, going down the line switching who is first and last. Another great thing about school lunch is that you can just grab your lunch, rather than taking the time to make it at home.
