But, there has been some debate for quite some time now about which game has more content, replay-ability, and which one is the overall better game. Truly, both games have their strengths and weaknesses. Both games are completely different genres of games; Mario Kart is a racing game full of chaotic items and excitement, Super Smash Bros is a fighting game that is more skill-based and has a ton of crossovers throughout the series keeping the game refreshed.
Mario Kart is a racing game with a bunch of characters, karts, and tracks. The game is more user friendly than Super Smash Bros. Simply controlling a kart and throwing items is a much easier thing to do than learning every character in a fighting game. Mario Kart is a more luck based game due to items. Sometimes you have to hope you get the right item at the right time, if not, you’ll just get absolutely destroyed by a blue shell, an item that specifically targets first place. There isn’t much to learn about Mario Kart except for drifting and certain shortcuts on specific tracks. To use shortcuts, you need a mushroom, an item that gives you a little speed boost that can help you easily go through shortcuts or go past a patch of grass.
Super Smash Bros is a platform fighter that mainly focuses on sending your opponent off the stage. Compared to Mario Kart, there are more things to learn about Super Smash Bros than Mario Kart like more techniques about characters and their moveset. Playing at a competitive level, you need to know a lot of stuff in order to put up a fight against a skilled opponent. This game is well known to a lot of players that casually play the game or in a competitive way. This game is fun with friends, especially in free for alls, team battles, or just in one on ones.

The majority of the team prefers to play Super Smash Bros due to how much content is in this one game. It’s not everyday you see a game that has 82+ characters to play from, a ton of stages to play on that are based on Nintendo locations. And just like Mario Kart, this game is very chaotic when a lot of people are playing at once, it feels like a battlefield where you are trying to stay alive. But, that doesn’t mean Mario Kart is a bad game period Mario Kart is more user friendly to play compared to Super Smash Bros, it’s a game that a lot of people love and still play either for fun or just fighting for first. The items truly makes Mario Kart a chaotic but fun racing game, 96 tracks are a lot of tracks for an average racing game, and a lot of characters to play just makes it much more fun.
