This upcoming basketball season starts soon. The first game is on Dec 5. This will be an away game. The first home game will be on Dec 10 against Fort Calhoun.

Many players are looking forward to this season, with hope of going beyond where they fell short last season at the district finals against Ogallala. Many key players from last season have either transferred or graduated. So the coaches are hoping players will step up and continue to be great.

Last year the overall record last season was 21-4 which was the school record. This year the team hopes to break it again and go to state.

Cole M has high hopes for this upcoming season saying, “I am very excited for this upcoming season. We are ready to work hard and be determined. We are hoping that we go undefeated this season.”

That same thought seems to be a recurring theme throughout the locker room. They are ready to improve this season as players and as a team. With the team practicing sometimes two times a day and on the weekends they seem to be very serious about winning and improving. The starters for this season are Mason M, Ty W, Logan L, Andy L, Trevor T.

Last night the season kicked off at Louisville. They sadly lost with the final score being 50-26. They are now 0-1 on the season. Even with that loss though they are still looking forward to the upcoming season and working harder than ever to make sure that is their only loss of the season.
