Community Meeting to be Held Regarding Highway 75 Construction
MURRAY, Neb.- On October 13, 2022 a community meeting will take place at Murray Christian Church concerning the construction on Highway 75. There will be a presentation from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. with approximately 45 minutes of open house time afterwards.
The project is currently under construction to build a four-lane expressway from just south of N-1 to south of Oak Hill Road. With this new project, regulations of these lanes are going to be quite different.
For example at the intersection that was divided, highways from a side road are no longer allowed to make left turns or cross traffic, instead they are required to turn right onto the highway and then make a U-turn at a designated median opening.
The purpose of this improvement is to reduce the frequency and the severity of crashes that occurred these past years over these two lanes.
This meeting is being held to provide information regarding the proposed improvement, currently in design phase, and to receive the public’s input. Everyone is invited to participate and share their opinions or suggest an idea to make these improvements safer for our younger drivers to attend places safely. Don’t worry if you can’t attend, there is going to be more information about the project available on our site.
