Murray, NEB- On Thursday, April 18, the boys Varsity Soccer team played against The Platte. The Platte is a co-op team of Plattsmouth and Platteview. The game resulted in a loss with a final score of 3-0.
On Monday, April 22,The Cougars played against a class A opponent, the Fremont Tigers. They lost with a final score of 1-5. The game started off with only the Tigers scoring in the first half. When the second half started the Cougars held them and scored to get a point on the board.
The team prepared for the game by watching film of the opponent to know what formations they will use and what tactics they have. When on the field practicing they worked on shooting to be able to score more goals.
Assistant Coach Jefferey Brokaw comments on their season “The season has been great, we have battled through some adversity and injuries after a hot start going 6-0.”
The Cougars have one more in season game at Ralston, April 25, then they head to Sub Districts on Monday the 29.
