Winter Sports Preview
Murray, NEB- After wrapping up the football, cross country and volleyball seasons, the students are beginning to welcome their wrestling and basketball seasons. Their football, volleyball and cross country teams had a very successful season this year. As they welcome our next sports with practices starting up, the players are very excited for after school and over the weekend practices as well as just being a part of the team again. “I’m excited to improve and to compete,” said Andy L., a freshman at Conestoga. Basketball conditioning started Monday, Nov. 5 while wrestling conditioning started Oct. 26.
Boys basketball’s first jamboree against Lourdes Central Catholic will be held on Nov. 27 here at Conestoga. Wrestlers won’t have a meet until early December also being held at Conestoga. They are very excited to see how this sports season goes. Go Cougars!
