Conestoga Dance team Prepares for State

Dancers perform their halftime show at a football game

To be a winning dance team it takes more than a cute uniform and natural talent. Our Conestoga dance team works hard whether they are performing at half time or at state. Every performance takes teamwork to accomplish, and if even one person falls short, the whole routine can crumble.

Some people might underestimate how much time goes into learning a state routine. Our Conestoga dance team has been learning their state routines since June, and the competition is in February. They spent countless hours running these routines until everything looked perfect.

This time of year is the grind period. State is in a month and the team has a lot of work to do. There will be late nights, early mornings, and a lot of hard practices. This is why they win though. They are willing to put in that work.

Our dance team is a family. They might get aggravated with each other sometimes, but in the end they love each other and it shows. They have to trust each other completely, or the dances they perform just wouldn’t be successful.
