March Madness started on March 17th. There have been many upsets in the first four rounds of March Madness.
There are no March Madness brackets that made it past the Sweet 16. There were only two first seeded teams that made the Final Four. There were many surprises during March Madness this year with a number nine seed, Iowa, reaching the Elite Eight, taking down the one seed and the four seed. There were more teams that surprised analytics like Texas, who barely made the tournament and then took down the three and six seeds, and lost by two points to the two seed.
There were many exciting and frustrating games in March Madness this year. In the game to advance to the Final Four between Uconn and Duke, all Duke had to do was hold on to the ball; it was their ball and they were up by two with 10 seconds left, but they lost the ball and Uconn won with a buzzer beater. There were more exciting games like Nebraska and Vanderbilt. Nebraska was up by two with a small number of seconds on the clock, Vanderbilt had the ball, their star player Tyler Tanner shot it from half court and missed with an in and out.
Michigan, UConn, Illinois, and Arizona made the Final Four this year and the Michigan Wolverines left the tournament as champions over the UConn Huskies. 0.3358% of all the brackets filled out got the final four right this year and 14.4% picked Michigan victorious.
