Murray NEB.-With the 2019-2020 school year ending in quarantine, Conestoga-like every other school-didn’t get their spring sports seasons, including track and field. The boys and girls track teams were excited about last season, especially with the addition of a new head coach and a team boasting three returning state qualifiers.

Unfortunately all of last season’s promise fell flat when the season was cancelled. However, this year’s team has a lot of promise of its own! The number of participants is growing, and the team is always looking for more athletes.

Why should you join track and field? Yes, there is running, but it’s not only that. You get to experience a different type of sport. Track is an individual sport, which means that you control how well you do, and how you perform.

The high school track team is one of the most successful teams at Conestoga. In the past five years, the track team has qualified 27 girls and 11 boys for the state track meet. In addition, the track team has won 16 medals at state, including four relays and two state championships!

Join the tradition and become part of this successful team. The Conestoga track team is always looking for new athletes that want to improve themselves. We are willing to work with you if you are willing to work with us.
