FFA Competes in District Competition

MURRAY, NEB- Conestoga FFA competed in their district competition on Tuesday, Feb. 28, there were close to 30 members who competed, according to the advisor. Mrs. Taylor said that the group’s favorite part was the CDE’s where many of our competitors received ribbons for each category that they competed in.

One of the categories was Natural Resources in which Callie T received a 2nd place purple ribbon, Sophia T also received a purple ribbon and Ava W, Aaron W and Ava T all received red flags.The next category was Food Science where Lily J came in 3rd and received a purple ribbon, Robbi Z received a blue ribbon, Bridget M received a red ribbon and Allee Jo I received a white ribbon. They all were competitors for this category.

Third Category was Meat Eval where Aaron W came in 4th and received a purple ribbon, Brink S a blue ribbon, Mason S received a red ribbon and Louie C received a white ribbon. Fourth category was Farm Business. Dani A received a purple ribbon, Mackenzie J and Louie C both received red ribbon and Mason S received a white ribbon.

Fifth Category was Floriculture in which Mckenzie J, Evelyn M, Callie T, and Cydney V all received blue ribbons, Sophia T and Dani A both received red ribbons and Robbie Z and Lily J both received white ribbons. The sixth category was Agriscience where Carson H, Logan P, and Casen C received blue ribbons, Tanner A, Brinn A and Rachel U received red ribbons and Blaine A and Allee Jo I both received a white ribbon.

The seventh category was Nursery Landscape. Ava W and Cydney V received blue ribbons, Ava T received a red ribbon and Paityn H received a white ribbon. The final category was Livestock management where Bridget M, Jacob W, Brinn A, Rachael U and Evelyn M all received red flags.

There we have all our ranked competitors and the categories each has placed. The state qualifying teams are Agriscinece, Farm Business Management, Natural Resources and Nursery Landscape. We’ll say congratulations to those teams who have qualified for state and wish them luck.
