Weeping Water house caught fire Valentine’s Day evening

Murray, NEB- In Cass County there is a small town by the name of Weeping Water, normally very uneventful but on Valentine’s day evening there was a house fire a few blocks away from the school. “One of the callers reported they heard an explosion just before seeing the flames.” CassGram, Friday 2/16/24.

People were worried that there were still residents inside but with further investigation they revealed that everyone was evacuated safely, one resident was examined for possible smoke inhalation but was not transported to a hospital.

People from several fire agencies were called, crews from Weeping Water, Avoca, Manley, and the Red Cross and Nebraska State Fire Marshal were also requested.
