Saturday, March 29, the girls’ varsity soccer team attended a tournament where they played two games. The first took place at Benson High School, where they faced Omaha North. The second game took place at Omaha North High school, where they faced Benson.
The first game the girls dominated Omaha North with a victory of 4-0 showing their teamwork and skill, which kept them motivated for their second game versus Benson. This game was a little harder then their previous game but they kept their winning streak alive, earning another 1-0 victory over Omaha North.
These games had another challenge with harsh wind, cold temperatures, and a rainy and misty morning. Through this it showed their dedication to win, and their well earned plaque for their performance in the tournament. It was a great day for the team, and they certainly left a strong impression with their hard-work and determination. With this win it will give momentum to the girls varsity soccer team is more determined than ever to continue improving and striving for more achievements.
Scout N. exclaimed, “Each player contributed to the victories through solid defense, creative midfield play, or finishing chances up front.”
This upcoming week they have two games. Their first game is on Thursday, April 3, 7pm away at Nebraska City. Then they have an away game located and versus Standing Bear High School starts at 10am.
