The Conestoga Girl’s Wrestling team is in the middle of competition season, the last for Maggie F. and Allee Jo I.
Maggie F. is currently undefeated in her senior season, having just won her 150th career match. She started wrestling her freshman year because, “The haters told me not to,” and she’s been on the team ever since. Currently, Maggie F. is gearing up for districts and eventually state.
“I’m excited for state, it's very fun.” Maggie F. says.
Maggie F. is the reigning state champion and plans to keep that title for her last year wrestling. She isn’t planning on continuing her wrestling career past high school, so this year's her very last.
“My favorite memory was prolly hugging my dad after winning state last year,” Maggie F. shares.
The other senior on the girl’s wrestling team is Allee Jo I. She started wrestling her freshman year because, “They needed a heavy weight.” Last year she was a state finalist and is aiming for first this year. She doesn’t plan on wrestling after high school either, giving her all for her very last season.
“My favorite memories are all the road trips we go on as a team,” Allee Jo I. comments.
Happy birthday to people all over the world.
