This Year’s Spookiest Haunted Attractions

Murray, NEB-Spooky season is upon us and that means haunted attractions are the hotspots to go see. Here are some top haunted attractions to go visit this Halloween season.
One of the most talked about haunted attractions, Scary Acres, is currently open to the public. The park, located in Omaha, Neb., opened Sept. 16 and stays open through Halloween night, Oct. 31. Park hours vary from 7-10 p.m. and 7 p.m.-12 a.m.. There are three attractions within the park to go see. Prices vary depending on the attraction. There is the biggest attraction, The Master’s Castle for 12 dollars, then House on the Hill for 11 dollars and Haunted Woods for 10 dollars. Combo passes are also available for 28 dollars and this includes access to all three attractions. The Haunted Woods is the only outdoor attraction. Each attraction is filled with different lighting set-ups, actors and props to give the scariest experience possible. Actors are also going throughout the park to continue the fun from inside the attractions to outside for the lines waiting.
Another park to go visit this October is Haunted Hollow. Haunted Hollow, located in La Vista, Neb., opened Sept. 30 and is open until Oct. 31. However, the park is closed every Monday except halloween night. The park is open from 7-10 p.m. every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and from 7 p.m.-12 a.m. every Friday and Saturday. General admission is 28 dollars per person and this pays for all attractions except the Dark Ride. The park contains a total of five attractions including the Dark Ride, Micheal Meyers’ House, Tarot card reading, Haunted House and Freak Show. Tickets are able to be purchased both online and in the box office at the park. Along with attractions, the park also holds one-time shows to go see. This park contains scary attractions and interesting shows to make sure everyone has something to do while visiting.
Grey House Haunts is not a haunted park, but an individual haunted house with tons of fun actors and sights to see. The haunted house is located in Holdrege, Neb. and is open every Friday and Saturday starting Oct. 14, as well as Oct. 31. Grey House haunts are open from 7:30-10:30p.m. each night. Admission is 15 dollars per person and tickets are available online and at the ticket booth there. The house, itself, contains trained scare actors, lights and props to make the scare factor intense and frightful.
