Lillian H. is a freshman on the Cougarettes dance team. New to the team, she has worked hard to succeed and kept a smile on her face while fronting adversity.

Being a student athlete is a full time job that requires time and commitment. To kick off the season, Lillian H. has worked hard to maintain her grades on top of sports and extracurricular activities.

She commented, “My key to success in life is probably time management. I think I manage my time really well. I kind of have to in order to do all the things I want to do.”

On top of managing homework and sports, Lillian H. always works hard during practices and performances and strives for improvement.

Head coach Katherine Bloch voiced, “Lillian is extremely coachable and wants to get better. She is also very driven and this helps with her success.”

Along with hard work and dedication, Lillian H. prioritizes communication and teamwork. Her ability to cooperate and collaborate with others is one of the reasons she is so successful.

“I think teamwork is a really big value to me because if you’re not working together then nothing gets done.” Lillian H. quotes, “So I try to have teamwork with not only my teammates, but also my teachers and coaches so that everything gets done the right way,” she remarks.

As well as communicating effectively, a positive attitude is one value that is important on the Cougarettes dance team. Lillian H. has stepped onto the team and shown wonderful resilience and flexibility.

Bloch stated, “Lillian is ALWAYS positive. I have never seen her upset about anything genuinely. She is also very focused and ready to work every practice.”

“Lillian is an absolute gem to coach. She is everything it means to be a Cougarette with her kindness and work ethic,” Bloch declared.
