Conestoga boys varsity basketball dominated from start to finish on Thursday night with suffocating defense and efficient offense. The Cougars had five consecutive wins and ended this one as their sixth. The matchup marked the Cougars’ most dominant win of the season.
“I think our energy not only on the court but from the fans fueled us to win by so much. The team had a tremendous effort, one of the best we have had all season,” voiced Noah E.
Conestoga’s success really made some players stand out, such as Mason M. He led the charge by making 12 points and five steals throughout the game.
“I personally just played my role and just made the right play each time for the team,” stated Mason M.
Another player that had an outstanding game was Noah E, making 100 percent of his free throws and banking 13 points.
“The game came to me so easy. I got into a flow and they couldn't stop me from getting to the rack,” stated Noah E.
The Cougars closed their game with perseverance and dominance, making it clear that they were never going to give up no matter what the score was. The energy never dipped which ended up with the Cougars racking up a score of 63 points to 23 going to Omaha Christian.
“63-23 is a huge margin. That night, we got after it defensively. And forced Omaha Christian into many mistakes,” remarked Mason M.
With their sixth straight win secured, the Cougars continue to build momentum at the perfect point in the season. If they keep bringing this level of intensity, they will be a tough team to be stopped.
