Murray, NEB- The Conestoga Girls Wrestling team competed at districts on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 6-7, at Weeping Water High School.
The team had a successful tournament with two wrestlers qualifying for the state tournament. Senior Maggie F. and sophomore Jazlyn E. both used the district tournament to punch their ticket to state.
Maggie F. placed first while Jazlyn E. placed fourth in their district. These placings allowed the two to compete in the state tournament, which begins on Feb. 17.
The other wrestlers on the girls team brought their seasons to a close at districts. Senior Allee Jo I. brought her final season to an end, along with junior Ava F. and freshman Sarah C.
