Conestoga’s high school One Act team has been working hard to get scripts memorized and costumes made. For reference the play will be around 28 minutes long and will feature over nine actors. More recently they’ve gotten some information from lead coach Jessica Schlichtemeier on when we can expect to see the play.
“No clue [on when students will see the play], we can expect to see it some time in November but it still needs approval from the administration,” stated Schlichtemeier
She also had some additional comments on the One Act kids claiming that they listen and take in advice very well from all the coaches, not just her.
“Actors looking good, working hard, [they] take their notes well and improve things that need attention,” explained Schlichtemeier.
They also got some good information on the sets and costumes. Apparently a lot of the set is done already, they just need to finish some costumes and add a bit more to the sets. Some of the costumes include puppets for some of the roles and regular clothes for a lot of the actors. The set has an ocean and trees as well as a beach.
“The set is done. We try to add on throughout the season, and our costumes are not finished just yet,” replied Schlichtemeier.
“The actors are getting their work in and we can see, I expect a lot from them this season,” stated coach Schlichtemeier in the most recent interview.
