Conestoga’s high school One Act team has been focusing all their time and efforts on blocking and emotion. Last Friday their efforts came to fruition during districts with the team placing 5th overall. The meet was crowded and busy with many teams being made up of over 30 people.
“I don't have any thoughtful comments on the event as a whole,” stated Jessica Schlichtemeier, the team's head coach.
She had some additional comments on the play as a whole and how well the kids have improved since the start.
“Most of the coaches couldn't tell this was a lot of kids' first time acting and performing at districts, ” explained Schlichtemeier.
Many of the actors got comments and compliments for their acting skills during critiques which took place right after the show.
“The cast performed their best performance of the whole year. But no comment on critiques," replied Schlichtemeier.
“I think this was a really well put together show and the coaching staff was impressed due to the lack of experience,” stated coach Schlichtemeier in the most recent interview.
