Conestoga Cougars took on the Plattsmouth Blue Devils in volleyball on Tuesday, Sept 30. It was an exciting night in volleyball as all three Conestoga teams reserve, junior variety, and varsity came out on top.
The reserve game started the night strong at 5 p.m., winning a tight match keeping the fans on the edge of their seats during the second set with the teams matching points and Conestoga pulling through with a thrilling final score of 29-27.
At 6 p.m. JV took the court and continued Conestoga’s momentum. The Blue Devils fought hard matching Conesoga point for point but Conestoga didn’t back down in the second set especially with a close last two points eventually pulling out a thrilling final score of 31-29.
Varsity continued the momentum in set one Conestoga was leading from start to finish while the final score was 25-20, in set two Conestoga took the lead all game while the final score being 25-17, in the third set they lost 21-25, and lastly in the fourth set Conestoga won 25-21 while during the sets there was a fluctuation between the scores but Conestoga pulled through and got the win.
Throughout the night, the Conestoga Cougars showed strong teamwork and determination. Before the game, the players put on their game faces, ready to battle hard against the Blue Devils and it paid off with another big win for Conestoga.
At the end of the night the Cougars walked away proud of their performance. It was another big win for the Cougars!
