Under the Friday night lights on Oct. 10 at the Wahoo Bishop Neumann Stadium, the Cougars fell short in a hard fought 35-14 loss against Bishop Neumann.
The Cougars established a game plan that on the offensive side of the ball was to get the ball moving down the field quickly and making passes. The other game plan was to come out of the game injury-free and was executed well.
At the beginning of the game, the Cougars started off a little slow due to the inability of making deep passes and not letting the plays develop. But the Cougars kept fighting until they reached halftime to discuss a better plan.
After halftime was over, the Cougars came out and scored two touchdowns which gave them 14 points on the scoreboard. They gained more yards from passes than they did from running plays which helped them in the long run.
“Some of the bigger plays came from our quarterback using his legs and finding the endzone,” noted Grant T.
After this game, the Cougars concluded that they just need to work on their pass protection and tackling. But overall they fought hard and ended the game on a good note with gaining more points in the second half.
“Even though the game plan didn’t go too well, I am happy that we considered it because that would give us our greatest chance at success against teams like Bishop Neumann,” expressed Dylan K.
