Murray, NEB. – Conestoga’s FBLA chapter has recently put on their annual Halloween Dodgeball Tournament. Teams gathered in the gym on Oct. 30 to compete and earn a spot to play against the teachers the following Wednesday. The tournament was double elimination and there was a bracket for both high school and junior high.

There were a total of six teams competing for high school and another six teams for junior high. It was a lot of close matches, but when it came down to it the team, The Men, won. The team consisted of Brody M., Carter A., Ben S., Austin G., and Andy L.. For junior high, It all came down to Team Dino as the final team. Team Dino was made up of Elias J., Chris W., Joel E., Caleb B, and Ryder J..

Both teams competed at the Student Recognition Rally on Wednesday, Nov. 1 against two teams of teachers, one team for junior high and the other for high school. The junior high’s Team Dinos had a great win against the teachers. The high school teachers took a great victory against The Men. Then to finish it all off, the two teams settled it with high school versus junior high, where high school dominated the game.

The tournament is meant to bring fun to students and teachers, but there is more purpose behind it. The goal of the tournament is to raise money for March of Dimes. March of DImes is an organization that FBLA donates money to assist in fighting for the health of all moms and babies. It is an extremely important foundation and this tournament is our FBLA’s way of having fun, while supporting a great cause.
