The new school year came with some new policies including a no phone policy.
There has been a new rule in your school, schools all over the United States are starting to ban or limit the use of phones in schools. Many people have many different opinions of this situation. Some are upset, some are happy. It all depends on what kind of person you are and how much your phone impacts you and your daily life as a student. “I am neutral on it. I feel like it does help students focus when they don’t have it on them,”
Mallorie L said.
You may think that students deserve their phone in class and I agree but others may think that it does not help in any way to have our phones. If the students mess around on their phones i think the school should have the right to take them. They could be doing something to harm another student or teacher on their phone and in that case i think that they should take the phones because of you were getting bullied online by another student during school hours you would not want them to have their phones either. “I think we should be able to have them if we have earned it but if we mess around with them then they have the right to take them,” Mallorie L said.
Most teachers would actually benefit from having no phones in their classrooms because it will not be a distraction to their students. Without phones there would be way more attention just on the teacher and not on anything else. Freshman Mallorie L says “ they won’t be a distraction.”
should students be allowed phones sometimes, not at all, or more?
“I think students should have their phone sometimes but not all the time because they should be social with their friends,” Mackenzie S said.
