Last Friday, the library set up its hot chocolate and coffee bar for students and staff to enjoy.
As the winter season approaches and the days become more chilly, Librarian Tracy Morton has opened up the long awaited hot chocolate and coffee bar on Dec. 5. The bar will be running every Friday, from the time after first period and will go until lunchtime. If anyone would like to buy hot chocolate or coffee, the cost is $2 and the bar is located in the library. As if that wasn’t enough, the bar also has toppings including marshmallows, sugar and creamers that can be added in drinks for some extra flavour.
Morton has been running the hot chocolate and coffee bar for around a decade now. All the money made while the bar is up goes towards funding the library. The hot chocolate and coffee bar makes an estimate of $400, which goes towards books and supplies in the library. The hot chocolate and coffee bar will be available from December through February so make sure to stop by anytime if possible. Morton expressed “I keep doing this every year to give students an outlet to come into the library and see that it is not all about books”.
